Thank you, Commissioners and Dr. Katz, and welcome to Laguna Honda. The next time you meet on our campus, we will be living and working in the most modern long term care and rehabilitation center in the United States. I want to take the opportunity today to describe the transformations taking place at Laguna Honda, and I would like to do it by telling you the stories of six residents. These stories reflect the ways Laguna Honda serves as a community resource and an integrated part of the Department of Public Health’s continuum of care.
