My Name is Margaret

My name is Margaret. I was born in Oakland California, and raised in Richmond and San Francisco. I worked as a dishwasher when I first moved to San Francisco.  Then I worked maintenance at the San Joaquin Miller Park.  San Francisco has been my home for the past 35 years.  I enjoy painting and feel that my artistic side is my best quality.

One of my most vivid childhood memories is of spending time with my father when I was only two years old.  We were at the amusement park together and I remember being wrapped-up in his arms as we watched other children riding the carousel and other spinning rides. I could smell the amusement park hot dogs and candies in the air. Yes, I like hamburgers, but I love hot dogs. I prefer hot dogs with sauerkraut and mustard.

I have been here at Laguna Honda Hospital for five years and even though I wanted to leave at first. I grew to love Laguna Honda very much and now I can’t imagine my world with out it!
